Welcome To The N.H.K! (N・H・Kにようこそ!, N.H.K. ni Yōkoso!) is a 2002 novel written by Tatsuhito Takamoto and illustarted by Yoshitobi ABe. It was published by Kotokawa Shoten on January 28, 2002.The story comments especially on Hikikimori or NEET culture that was becoming ever more prevalent in Japan at the time. It is also argued that the novel could have been a criticism against the anime and manga industries in Japan.
The novel was an immediate critical and financial success upon its release in Japan. The Series would eventually spin off into an manga and anime series. The series was also released in the United States.
